Good Morning.

First my prayers go out to all of the families of fallen soldiers on this Memorial Day. If you have today off, enjoy it and be thankful for those in your family that are in the military and are still alive. Don’t forget to hit a BBQ or 2 up also !

Things you might have missed since Last Week:

  • Instead of reviewing an Album, I asked my fans for their top 5 rappers. It’s not too late for yours.
  • I talked about my trip across the state to check out a potential city of residence.
  • There was a “Points Scandal” at a local Psiette event that I had to speak about; and my life was threatened at this same event.
  • I talked about all the wonderful things that happened on my Birthday.

You might have missed a few of those topics because the last 3 were all done on Friday. Take the time to go through them and comment. I also wrote two articles for Platform Nation. One article was about Kingdom Hearts for the DS, and the other was for Monster Hunter for the PSP. It is important that you guys not only read the articles and tell your friends about them, but you should definitely leave comments. The more popular articles on the site gets the author more opportunities… so please help your neighborhood blogmaster out.

Wedding Details

Well, as I promised, Today is the day I officially release the wedding date to the public. If you were able to figure it out two weeks ago, congratulations you deserve an extra pat on the back. Everyone else, maybe next time.

As of now, the wedding will be held… in Miami, Fl. We aren’t sure of the colors yet; Actually, I’m not sure if I’m OK with the colors picked out yet, I’m working on it.

We’ve decided we are only inviting 200 people. The Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor have already been picked. I’ve got a best man in mind, but I haven’t officially asked him. I’m still working on Groomsmen…

I’m not sure how we’re only going to select 200 186 people (I forgot to take out the bridal court); which is roughly 93 people each. That’s going to be rough for me especially… I have 8 – 11 siblings depending on who you ask… subtract 2 parents and now I’m down to at most 80 people I can personally invite. I’m going to go ahead and start forming a list of people who want to come… feel free to comment here or send me an email so I can take you into consideration. Unfortunately, there are no automatic bids in this BCS race; I will have to sit down and evaluate everyone fairly.

I guess the last thing for me to mention is the date.

Are you sure you don’t want to go figure it out?

You sure?

I mean, it is RIGHT there at the bottom

Let me just take a moment to thank all the people out there who made this possible… No, i’m just kidding.

The date of this union in matrimony will be September 4, 2010.

** no secrets here**

and that’s all I have for today; I really want to take this time to thank all of my readers new and old. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I would have kept this blogging thing up. You people are my motivation (I couldn’t resist, sorry). Keep telling your friends about this site, and as always I’m willing to listen to ideas on how I can improve.

Monday Post 15

February 23, 2009

Well, It’s Monday and you know what that means – Weekly update !!!

As always, here’s what you might have missed since last week:

So, this weekend, “Salt & Pepper” spent the weekend at my house. Pepper goes to school further south, and decided she wanted to get together with Salt for a reunion tour. Salt unfortunately was sick, so we didn’t do too much, but the things we did, we had fun.

For example, we checked out the Black Actor’s Guild performance of “Stream of Unconsciousness” which was a bunch of skits, and the order they were performed were determined by the crowd. To avoid “bias” in voting, the names of the skits were kept cryptic, and the audience had to shout out numbers (much like the price is right) for the hosts to determine the next skit.

In all honesty, I enjoyed the performance. The skits were good, the performers were great. Shout-Out to the “Dad” who shook some sense into his daughter for “ruining her life”. He played that part very well. oh and #16 was DEFINITELY the best skit.

That was about all we did this weekend. Other than that, we hung out at home, and went to the mall; everyone had a great time (I Guess) maybe next time Salt & Pepper get together everyone will be healthy, and I can show them around town.

This week starts the new “year” of NCAA Dynasty. Once again, if you’re a PS3 Owner, and you want in on this Online Dynasty, get in contact with me.  If you say “are you doing your best”  at One Fresh Stir-fry, you get a sushi sample.

That’s about all I have for now; M. Bison is threatening to hit me with a Psycho Crusher if I don’t get to work

P.s. the purpose of the links in the story are for you to check them out and either get a laugh, or educated on certain topics.  So please; get the clicking !!!

Love Abuse ?

February 19, 2009

What is love?

She says it’s a second hand emotion.

He says it’s a strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties.

I hear people throw it around like it’s the new catch phrase for the year month. Then I hear some people say it as consolation to someone they just abused

but, what is Love? better yet,  why is it so constantly abused?

This morning I wake up to Facebook to discover I was tagged to a note.

At first I thought it was one of these, but then I discover there was a little more substance to this note. One of my beloved fish (no, I don’t show favoritism… except for the Ace of hearts) tagged me in a note where she was letting off steam, and partially confused about her situation.

Her significant other (of about 1.5 years) who she thought was “the one”  through an interesting turn of events decided to take another woman out on Valentine’s Day.

I have another friend who at first was having a nice evening with a gentleman… which awkwardly ends, and less than a week later the same man is with another woman.

I have yet ANOTHER friend who was dating a guy who turned out to be engaged and getting married within the month.

Now, i’m not here to put their business out in the e-streets, but I have to ask; why?

why are men boys mistreating girls? why the games?

Personally, as a former boy on my journey maturing into a man, I’ve made some of my own mistakes. Honestly, I know why I did what I did; most of it was out of selfishness, and self-preservation. I owe a few women apologies, but not all of them. I’d get into why, but this isn’t about me 😉

Some guys become men overnight, some need a few heartbreaks/aches to learn, and some never grow up and decide to settle down; they are the ones who insist on keeping the game alive and well.  This only makes it okay for future young boys to grow up and keep it going. We as “Men” and “Kings” need to raise our future princes on the finer points of catering to the queens of the world.

I read so many things where guys are trying to take the stand to treat women like queens to stop the cycle of hate and distrust.  this street goes both ways; women need to start treating “men” (not boys) like kings

*dodges a flying pot*

Female reader- ” But Blogmaster, what about the women who treat boys like kings and still end up feeling like a strumpet? ”

That’s the problem right their ma’am; you are treating a boy like a king. Never give a boy the keys to a castle with gold and expensively rare treasures; they’ll only make a mess of things.
