Hey Everybody.

I’m not all the way back to blogging on a regular schedule yet, but I’m getting there.

not too much to report right now other than one of my favorite Game Franchises God of War will be releasing a collection that will have a remastered in HD, Trophy-enabled version of the first two games of this series. The game will sell for $40 this Holiday season, and I’m really thinking of buying it, even though I have WORKING copies of them for the PS2.

Yes, they work with my PS3, because I was smart impatient enough to get one of the Backward-Compatible models when they first released. Oh, I did a Mini-article over at Platform Nation to spread the news to the gaming world. I’m still having fun writing for those guys, I just need to start looking for articles/game review opportunities so I can continue to get my name out there.

The True Blood Season Finale will be on September 13, 2009 @ 9pm. They are going to give everyone a chance to get caught up with the last 3 episodes September 6,2009. From the previews, this season finale is going to be epic !!!

I noticed that MellownMighty has made a small return to the blogging world, go check out her site.

This week get a free side salad from OneFresh Stir-Fry when you say “Listen or Loose”. There’s a story behind it…

College Football Season, is around the corner. This will be the first time in 3-4 years where I won’t be getting up @ 7am to work for the G&G crew (love the new web site guys !!!)  I miss them already; I might have to make a special appearance during a game day just to cheer them on.

I want to take this time to ask all of you out there to send a special prayer out to the family of my Fairy DogMother. She’s going through some things with her family, and can use all the prayers she can get.

That’s about it for now guys… Until next time !!!

Is it Monday already ???

The weekends seem to just speed through…

Since Last Week, I had one big blog discussion on here talking about the “Gentlemigga“. It’s been a while since I wrote such a popular blog; I almost forgot what it felt like. Saturday was the Probate for Zeta Phi Beta Sororority Inc. over at FSU. I want to say congratulations to those new ladies; I didn’t see the show because I had a prior engagement, but I heard it was good. If anyone has pictures/video let me know because I’d like to see it.

I think my allergies have gotten better. I’m not sure if it’s the claritin or not…

Moving day is getting closer…

I’ve been really busy over at Platform Nation. If you are a video game fan, you should check them out.

This week, if you say “Malts and Shakes” you get a free topping over at OneFresh Stir-Fry.

I feel like I should be talking about something else…

I’ve been purposely avoiding the recent deaths of all the celebrities. Personally, there are PLENTY of resources out there for each of those untimely deaths, there’s no need for my 2 cents. My thoughts and prayers go out to the respective families.

NCAA Football 2010 comes out this week. I’m currently debating if I should start doing “news reports” about that again… A lot of people were confused last year, so I’ll think about it.

The new Harry Potter movie comes out this week also; I’m thinking about going to the midnight showing from a journalistic point of view. I’m all too curious to see how many people will dress up as their favorite character.

wingardium leviosa !!!

Wingardium Leviosa !!!

That’s all I have for today. I didn’t see all of TrueBlood last night. I plan on watching it tonight.

Oh… and if you haven’t, PLEASE see “The Hangover”. That is all.

July 10, 2009

I don’t want my readers to think I’ve been neglecting them… it’s just that I’ve been busy writing articles for Platform Nation !!!

If  you are a video game fan, you should go check them out and tell your friends.  In the past 10 days, I’ve written

I’m specifically writing this because I was given the opportunity to break the news about a new Screen-shot for Tekken 6.

I’m not going to post the picture here, but you should go see it there

Well, I’m back from Spring Break !!!

Not that I really DID anything… but I’m back 🙂 *Lyrically, NSFW*

How was your Spring Break?

Here’s what you may have missed last week:

  • Ms. Blogmaster finally joined the facebook cult community. Speaking of which, Facebook received ANOTHER graphical update. Personally, I’m all for staying on the cutting edge… but come on, slow it down a little please? and shouts out to Oprah Winfrey, who I know will be my friend for REAL (on facebook) and not just me being a fan of her show (not that I’m really a fan… but I was under the impression this was how she and I could be friends)
  • I’ve been offered an interesting opportunity.

Honestly, I spent most of my spring break playing video games. New Season of NCAA football started. ECU lost to Illinois 24-0, and Cal lost to USF 24-11. This week; ECU plays USF in a battle of those seeking their first win; USF faces UCF in “The Battle of I-4“, and Illinois battles Louisiana Tech.

Als0 this week, I get to meet Salt’s Boyfriend… Over-protective brother suit- power extreme !!! (Flashback intro)

I’m not going to cause problems, but I will ask many questions. I will have my eye on you, sir.

OH !!!

As I mentioned at the end of last week’s blog, I told you about a new blog that has emerged from one of the twisted minds in my inner circle: A Blind Mind. Last week, he posted an opinion on the double standard in our society dealing with promiscuity. I suggest you check it out, It’s NSFW, but honestly, which of my friends really are ???

**Guilty Pleasure alert**

So many moons ago, there was a Online Soap Opera err, Weekly-Updated story line revolving college students (many of who belong to a NPHC organization) at a fictitious HBCU. All of a sudden, they stopped the updates. Sad, I found other things to pass the time. It was brought to my attention that not only is the series back, but with a new spinoff. It is known as “As The Sands Burn” or ATSB for short. According to the website, they update every Thursday, we’ll see; but for now, go get caught up and enjoy.  If you want the original series: go here.  I know the setup is really confusing but remember this order: 3,4,7,2,1 That should be the order in which you visit those links. I suggest you bookmark it. I’d like to interview the Creator (and new author) but i’m still new in the blog world.

**End Guilty Pleasure**

Soo… We went to Harry’s This weekend. As many of you may have remembered, I didn’t have a great experience last time. I sent them a “Letter of concern”  and they sent me some gift cards. Since I like discounts, I couldn’t help but give them another chance.

They did their job quite well. I don’t know WHAT happened to them after I sent the letter, but they seemed to have undergone some renovations. As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by both hostesses, and they were very nice, and we were seated pretty quickly. Our server was actually pretty nice; very courteous, and checked on us just enough so it wasn’t creepy. I think the manager stopped by our table about twice to check up on us to make sure our food was good.

The food was good; I ordered the Salmon, and Ms. Blogmaster ordered The Harry’s Chicken. It actually came out in a timely manner; the food was warm, properly seasoned… no complaints.

So, Harry’s Seafood-Bar-Grille; You get my seal of approval again. I will now officially insist that my friends and readers head out to their local Harry’s (namely the one in Tallahassee) to check them out, enjoy their food and say “The Blogmaster sent you”. I doubt anything will happen, I’m just curious to see what would happen.

Speaking of code words… If you say ” Menu in Production” at One Fresh Stir-Fry, you will get a free veggie with your order.

Sometime this week, there will be a colla-blog on a very interesting topic. Keep your eyes peeled for it.

Graduation is officially 6 weeks away. Just gotta pass those classes

Dynasty Championship

February 21, 2009

After a VERY long break… our National Championship between Cal and ECU finally took place. Who would remain unbeaten between these two titans? only 4 quarters of football can decided that.

I score first within the the opening :11 on a run to the right

ECU works their way down the field to score on a QB sneak. Tie Game.

I lose my RB on an option

2 forced punts later i score again 14-7

QB sneak ties the game again

ECU goes up after halftime

Late push for a td puts them up

and a rushed decision late INT costs me any chance of a comback, and the final score is 35-21.

Both teams played a good game,  and next season will be Electrifying.

Still can’t believe I threw that pass.

Well, for “next season” half of twelvin will join the ring as the head coach of Illinos, and the battle for supremacy starts all over again. It’s still not too late to join in on this. Send me an email with your PSN ID and I can add you (Assuming I know you)

Congratulations to East Carolina University 2009 National Champions.

Childhood Memories or Company Milkers ?

February 11, 2009

Power Rangers

Street Fighter

Mega Man

What do these things have in common? Besides being from Japan.

Give up?

they have been around for what seems like forever, and their respective companies won’t let them go.

*you see my chest !!!*

*clears throat* Like I was saying…

Some of them deserve to keep going

some, not so much

I had a conversation with someone earlier today, and the question that was hard to answer was  “Why?”

Why were these brands still alive

I did some looking around on Wikipedia research. Here’s what I found:

  • Power Rangers has been running in America since 1993.
  • Pokemon hit America in 1996.
  • Street Fighter II was released in 1992.
  • Mega Man was released in 1987.

These brands have been around for at least a decade !!! (it’s been 13 years for Pokemon). It’s funny because somehow these 4 brands have been able to get milked by their companies reinvent themselves to still be around.

*Yes, I’m aware that there are other brands out there that have been around for who knows how long, but this isn’t about them. *

We know one company had counting problems… (I’m looking at you Capcom)

the other was able to recycle things every couple season… (Bandai/Fox/Disney)

and the last company… Just kept making things up, and was able to keep printing their own money (Nintendo

As we get older, we notice these things and usually leave them alone; but our little brothers and sisters who were too young to hang out with us are just now catching these things, and that’s how these companies can keep these gravy trains running.

What do you think? should these keep going? I dunno about you, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to see

“Ultra-Hyper-Mega-Unbelievably Long title- Super Street Fighter 7 Amazing final director’s edition”

or ANY more Power Rangers…

or Pokemon 1,001.

What other brands can you think of that’s been around forever and need to give it a rest?

“I Beat that Game” Series: Prince of Persia

January 27, 2009

I have slid down walls, ran across walls, Climbed up walls.

Walls, walls, and more walls

That is what the Dr. ordered for this dose of “Prince of Persia” for the PS3.

It was a great action-adventure/platformer. The story line was pretty good.

Yes, it was your typical story of good vs. evil, but that didn’t stop this “good guy” from doing what he had to do to save the day with a lady by his side.

It is hard to give too many details without giving away storyline. One thing that I will mention that  was of interest was the “lack of death”.

To sum it up, you never really “died” in the video game sense of the term. there was more of a “re-spawning to a convenient location” thing in place of death. It some what helped the game along, but it was weird playing a game that didn’t deal with death.  (slightly NSFW)

There was also a little bit of repetition in the game, but what game doesn’t come with an aspect of repetition?

Graphically, the game took a cel-shaded approach to the character design (think Wind waker)

I highly recommend you play this game.

What? what more can I talk about?

oh! how about the fact I wasn’t too thrilled with the Prince of PERSIA sounding AMERICAN !!!
