Dear Autumn

November 9, 2009

Where do I begin…

First, I want to Apologize for neglecting you all for such a long time. There has been a lot on my plate. With Joining a Fraternity, getting ready to get married, working, going to weddings, birthday parties… I’ve just been SO busy.

It is with regret that I must tell you this… I will be taking an extended break from the blog writing. I’ve barely had time for Platform Nation, and they have been so patient with me. I just need time to refocus, and figure out what kind of blog I want to bring to the world.

I don’t want to sell out and talk about celebrity gossip, and I don’t want to spend my whole time yelling at people, or bringing other people down. However, I want to entertain I want people to tell people about my blog… I want this blog to be successful.

There are TONS of things that I could have spoken about, but I just can’t; not right now. You the readers deserve the best of me, every time I decide to post. Right now, I can’t provide you with that.

So with that, I bid you all a temporary farewell… Who knows I might put a post or two up from time to time.

Sincerely,

D. Blogmaster

Hey Everybody.

I’m not all the way back to blogging on a regular schedule yet, but I’m getting there.

not too much to report right now other than one of my favorite Game Franchises God of War will be releasing a collection that will have a remastered in HD, Trophy-enabled version of the first two games of this series. The game will sell for $40 this Holiday season, and I’m really thinking of buying it, even though I have WORKING copies of them for the PS2.

Yes, they work with my PS3, because I was smart impatient enough to get one of the Backward-Compatible models when they first released. Oh, I did a Mini-article over at Platform Nation to spread the news to the gaming world. I’m still having fun writing for those guys, I just need to start looking for articles/game review opportunities so I can continue to get my name out there.

The True Blood Season Finale will be on September 13, 2009 @ 9pm. They are going to give everyone a chance to get caught up with the last 3 episodes September 6,2009. From the previews, this season finale is going to be epic !!!

I noticed that MellownMighty has made a small return to the blogging world, go check out her site.

This week get a free side salad from OneFresh Stir-Fry when you say “Listen or Loose”. There’s a story behind it…

College Football Season, is around the corner. This will be the first time in 3-4 years where I won’t be getting up @ 7am to work for the G&G crew (love the new web site guys !!!)  I miss them already; I might have to make a special appearance during a game day just to cheer them on.

I want to take this time to ask all of you out there to send a special prayer out to the family of my Fairy DogMother. She’s going through some things with her family, and can use all the prayers she can get.

That’s about it for now guys… Until next time !!!

*yawn*

Is it Monday already ???

The weekends seem to just speed through…

Since Last Week, I had one big blog discussion on here talking about the “Gentlemigga“. It’s been a while since I wrote such a popular blog; I almost forgot what it felt like. Saturday was the Probate for Zeta Phi Beta Sororority Inc. over at FSU. I want to say congratulations to those new ladies; I didn’t see the show because I had a prior engagement, but I heard it was good. If anyone has pictures/video let me know because I’d like to see it.

I think my allergies have gotten better. I’m not sure if it’s the claritin or not…

Moving day is getting closer…

I’ve been really busy over at Platform Nation. If you are a video game fan, you should check them out.

This week, if you say “Malts and Shakes” you get a free topping over at OneFresh Stir-Fry.

I feel like I should be talking about something else…

I’ve been purposely avoiding the recent deaths of all the celebrities. Personally, there are PLENTY of resources out there for each of those untimely deaths, there’s no need for my 2 cents. My thoughts and prayers go out to the respective families.

NCAA Football 2010 comes out this week. I’m currently debating if I should start doing “news reports” about that again… A lot of people were confused last year, so I’ll think about it.

The new Harry Potter movie comes out this week also; I’m thinking about going to the midnight showing from a journalistic point of view. I’m all too curious to see how many people will dress up as their favorite character.

wingardium leviosa !!!

Wingardium Leviosa !!!

That’s all I have for today. I didn’t see all of TrueBlood last night. I plan on watching it tonight.

Oh… and if you haven’t, PLEASE see “The Hangover”. That is all.

I don’t even know WHERE to start honestly…

First: Prayers for the families of ALL the celebrities who passed over the weekend. No matter your opinions of the people who passed, they were human and they had families. Let’s respect that.

Second: I happened to catch the BET Awards Last night (True Blood was on the bedroom TV) and my first question:  WHAT is UP with this new fashion trend?

“let me wear my jeans 2 sizes too small THEN wear them below my butt so everyone can see my boxers… ”

(pause)

I’m sorry, but I like having my jeans at my waist… but maybe that’s just me.

Also, why is it when artists sing LIVE they seem to have problems? Lead singer Pleasure P sounded HORRIBLE…

I had to fight with a thunderstorm last night so I ended up losing my reception for a good portion of the night. When I finally got my reception back, I didn’t care anymore and just decided to see the replay later on this week. Actually, I did manage to catch the Jamie Foxx/ Ne-Yo performance of “I’ll Be There” that I felt like was the best tribute of the evening

Last Thursday was the Bowling for Diabetes event. I must say, I had fun; I didn’t quite get that 100 that I was aiming for, but two scores of 93 is good enough for me. I think i’m going to need my own shoes and ball…

We ended up playing boys vs. girls the first game was a tie: 495-495.

The 2nd game, the boys pulled away with the victory (or the girls choked)

Naturally a rematch WILL be held at a later date and time.

I’m in the process of finishing my review for a game that I got from Platform Nation (for free) I’ll let you know when it’s ready to go.

That’s about it for now. I want to Thank everyone for your support, and remind you to love your family, and friends. If you have friends you lost touch with for petty stuff, get back in contact with them, that phone call, text, facebook message, tweet could be a ray of sunshine during a cloudy time for them.

June 15, 2009

Shout out to my friend Cedric Nabe for running the 100m in 10.28 seconds. Yeah, he pretty much embarrassed the rest of his heat… Here’s hoping he keeps doing big things on the Track. Maybe he can be the next Seminole to run in the Olympics.

I really need to start posting more often. I blame it on summer (the season, not the friend)

Here’s what I spoke about since last you know what? The only thing I spoke about was the new “facebook vanity url” thing they have which is going to make it easier for stalkers to find you.

The new season of True Blood started last night. I thought about giving it it’s own post, but I would much rather put it here. The new season picked up right where the last one left off, answered a couple questions from the ending of Season 1, all while opening new questions. I have a feeeling this is going to be a great season. Stay tuned. I thought about giving a synopsis of last night, but I know there are people who didn’t get to see it last night; so no spoilers from me.

I wrote another review for Platform Nation. This time it was for their new puzzle game known as “Trash Panic“, check it out and as always leave a comment if you can. don’t be afraid to ask questions, that’s the only way I can get better.

There are no wedding updates this week. Everything is still moving according to plan though. This list isn’t getting any easier… I plan to have my list “ready” before July.

I decided to try something new for the summer; I’m going to start a series of blogs called “Places I should be”  What I need from you the reader is to send me a couple pictures and 50 words on why I should be where you are (provided you aren’t where I am) and what’s so great about that place. If you happen to be in the same place I am, feel free to use your hometown (unless it’s where we are now, then use somewhere you’ve been that you really enjoyed)  As always, send it to my email: dtownsend23blog@gmail.com so I can start working on it. I’ve got one so far, and I must say, I like it.

Good Morning.

First my prayers go out to all of the families of fallen soldiers on this Memorial Day. If you have today off, enjoy it and be thankful for those in your family that are in the military and are still alive. Don’t forget to hit a BBQ or 2 up also !

Things you might have missed since Last Week:

  • Instead of reviewing an Album, I asked my fans for their top 5 rappers. It’s not too late for yours.
  • I talked about my trip across the state to check out a potential city of residence.
  • There was a “Points Scandal” at a local Psiette event that I had to speak about; and my life was threatened at this same event.
  • I talked about all the wonderful things that happened on my Birthday.

You might have missed a few of those topics because the last 3 were all done on Friday. Take the time to go through them and comment. I also wrote two articles for Platform Nation. One article was about Kingdom Hearts for the DS, and the other was for Monster Hunter for the PSP. It is important that you guys not only read the articles and tell your friends about them, but you should definitely leave comments. The more popular articles on the site gets the author more opportunities… so please help your neighborhood blogmaster out.

Wedding Details

Well, as I promised, Today is the day I officially release the wedding date to the public. If you were able to figure it out two weeks ago, congratulations you deserve an extra pat on the back. Everyone else, maybe next time.

As of now, the wedding will be held… in Miami, Fl. We aren’t sure of the colors yet; Actually, I’m not sure if I’m OK with the colors picked out yet, I’m working on it.

We’ve decided we are only inviting 200 people. The Bridesmaids and Maid of Honor have already been picked. I’ve got a best man in mind, but I haven’t officially asked him. I’m still working on Groomsmen…

I’m not sure how we’re only going to select 200 186 people (I forgot to take out the bridal court); which is roughly 93 people each. That’s going to be rough for me especially… I have 8 – 11 siblings depending on who you ask… subtract 2 parents and now I’m down to at most 80 people I can personally invite. I’m going to go ahead and start forming a list of people who want to come… feel free to comment here or send me an email so I can take you into consideration. Unfortunately, there are no automatic bids in this BCS race; I will have to sit down and evaluate everyone fairly.

I guess the last thing for me to mention is the date.

Are you sure you don’t want to go figure it out?

You sure?

I mean, it is RIGHT there at the bottom

*sighs*

Let me just take a moment to thank all the people out there who made this possible… No, i’m just kidding.

The date of this union in matrimony will be September 4, 2010.

** no secrets here**

and that’s all I have for today; I really want to take this time to thank all of my readers new and old. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I would have kept this blogging thing up. You people are my motivation (I couldn’t resist, sorry). Keep telling your friends about this site, and as always I’m willing to listen to ideas on how I can improve.

Monday 27 *updated*

May 18, 2009

It’s the Monday before my Birthday.

Here’s what you might have missed since last week:

That was about it. There should be tons more but alas, I’m not allowed to do much from my computer at work… M. Bison and co. forbids it.

I should take this time to mention that if you missed the “Big News” in my blog from Last Monday, I strongly suggest you reread it. I’ve heard some people say the secret was easy to find, some people say it was way too hard, and some people still can’t find it…

There will be times where I will hide things in my blog. I do it for fun, and I do it to give you something to do other than skim through it. If you still haven’t figured out the big secret; I’ll formally announce it Next Monday.

For some reason, Our Desktop has stopped working. Of course by “ours” I mean Mrs. Blogmasters. She has no idea what she’s done to it, or what she “didn’t do” she just knows it isn’t working. I gave it a pretty thorough examination; I don’t like what I need to do to fix it, but I’m out of ideas.

I’m currently waiting to hear about a possible opportunity to be a “Intern Blogger” for a video game website. I was hanging out on Twitter one day when I heard about this opportunity. I took the necessary steps, and hopefully I’ll get chosen. Even if I don’t, I’m glad that I’ve given it a chance.

Things to look forward to this week (hopefully):

  • My travels across the state
  • Audio Crack featuring Eminem’s New album
  • An official “Birthday Blog”
  • My first week back to work. (by suggestion of Mrs. Blogmaster)

And that is all I have for this week; For now at least. I’ll try to sneak in the “One Fresh Stir-Fry” Password of the week later on today.

** This Just in **

Say “Quesadilla my way” @ One Fresh Stir-Fry this week for a free topping. I don’t think I need to remind you all, but this place is a GREAT place to eat; So great a place that they don’t even know that I’m giving them free publicity !!!

A special “Sak Passee to all of my Favorite Haitians as today is “Haitian Flag day
