It’s the end of the semester, and you know what that means…
Besides College Basketball starting up…
No, besides people whining about the BCS… but you’re getting close. (by the way, I think that Guy is on to something)
Tonight was the Garnet & Gold Bowl II (G&GB2) (we got some sales going on)
at the beginning of the semester all the Garnet & Gold’s got together and played a game of Flag Football. Unfortunately, My team lost by 2 (or was it 3? )
We decided to give it a go again, this time it was just 8 of us from our own store (I guess it was more of a practice for the next bowl)
The night started with a long Journey across Town.
First, we were going to play @ the Old Intramural Fields (IM Fields)
due to the fields being destroyed, we were going to play on Langford Green (Near the Unconquered statue)
somehow, someone decided we should go and play at the NEW I.M. fields which is clear across town by the big Magnet Lab (yes, I am aware if you don’t live/go to school in my town you will have NO clue as to what I’m talking about)
When me and H.B. got there (we won’t even mention “losing our directions” on the way there) some of the crew who went ahead found out the place was closed…
You know what that meant…
Yup, Back to Langford Green.
So, we got out there and we played.
and we played.
and we ran out of breath.
and we played some more.
Finally, upon realizing how out of shape Awesome and Evenly matched the 2 teams of 4 were, we decided to call it a Tie. (8-8)
Because at the end of the day, we ARE the better Garnet & Gold store in town :).
So, for the “other” G&G stores, or better yet, the “other” bookstores in town…
