Birthday Blog

Well, it’s time to give God thanks for another year of existence. If it wasn’t for him, who knows where I would be.

So, here’s what happened on my Birthday.

As I spoke about earlier this week, I was waiting for word on an opportunity, and I got an email welcoming me and offering me a position as an intern writer for Platform Nation. I have to give them a certain amount of articles a month, I shall do my best. At the time of this article, I have given them a mini-article and it’s pending approval.

I was greeted by this when I arrived at my desk the morning of my birthday.

I’m not even gonna lie, I thought it was very nice that one of the big bosses graced my desk with this cheesecake and card. The only downside was worrying about how much I would have to hug that boss =/

afterwards, it was then my “Fairy DogMother” gave me her office gift:

Yes, that is M&M covered Brownies !!!

However, with great gifts come great responsibilities… I started getting threatening letters for my brownies from various coworkers. How Threatening ? well, after the attacks stopped, I was able to spell this out:

Yes, each of those were thrown in my direction.

After receiving all of these, what else COULD I do? I promptly cut the brownies up and they were shared by the young ladies of the office and myself.

After work, we decided we would go to Chili’s for Dinner. It was last minute, so I sent out a few text messages and facebook status updates; I really wasn’t expecting that many people to arrive since it was such last minute, but I was grateful for anyone that would arrive.

At Chili’s a good time was had by all. Well, at least I had a good time I even took home a memento to remember the night. I can’t tell you  or show you what it was, just know it was a great keepsake .

Finally I want to take this time to thank EVERYONE who sent me birthday wishes on facebook, text messages, and phone calls. For everyone that didn’t… I know you were thinking of me and I appreciate the well wishes still.

Oh, and for those wondering; I got a game from Mrs. Blogmaster for my Birthday. Good news she got me  a game; Bad news is she got me a game I didn’t want. at all. It’s alright because I can return the game for the one I DO want when it comes out next week Who knows, I might even do a Review on it.

It’s another Monday… *yawn* forgive me, it’s been an interesting weekend.

time for a countdown recap:

• 3 weeks and 2 days until my birthday
• 2 weeks and 5 days until free rib day (remember first 100)
• 5, 5 days, 5 days until graduation !!!

Everything else has happened already:

• The Graduation party was a success. Lots of people were in the place, and we had a great time. However, I will have to learn to plan better for my next party. More food, and maybe a better time frame will help… I had people strolling in around 11 even though the party died down around 10… A special thank you to everyone that did get there on time (even though I and Ms. Blogmaster was late)
• Classes being over is such an amazing feeling. when FINALS are over (this Friday) I might do a cartwheel or 2.
• Being away from the office for 3 weeks is a blessing and a curse. Yes, that is 3 weeks I’m not making money, but that is 3 weeks away from the mother hens. We needed some time apart !!!

I’ve actually decided to keep it locked for 2 weeks. I am well aware that it’s finals week for a lot of students and you don’t want to “Waste” any brainpower on something that won’t result in a grade for a class. This is meant to be just a fun pastime. Monday 16

Good Morning ! (RIP)

That’s the feeling I had when I came into work today. I think something about M.Bison on personal time just put me in high spirits today. I think it’s going to be the start of a wonderful week. My sister (Pepper) is turning 20 this week; I’m sure she’s expecting a gift. Well, that makes two of us.

I thought about giving someone else a birthday shout-out, but they are way too negative about getting older; so no shout-out for you! 

This week at OneFresh Stir Fry there’s a special situation: the password is “7 Years” but there’s a kicker: If you know what they mean by 7 years, you get a free drink; If not, you get a free topping as a consolation prize. Personally, I think that’s when they graced Tallahassee with their presence, but as I told this Tallahassee Blogger, I think that it’s too easy.  Let me know if you try it out and if that’s it.

This weekend a couple things happened: I went to the “RBP” with a bunch of people from my G&G crew. We had a LOT of fun. Unfortunately, if you want a full account of what happened… I’ll let you know when (and where) I write about it; there’s NO way I’m talking about that party evening with friends here. 

 

Last night, I had a great trip down memory lane. A classmate from Elementary school posted our 4th and 5th grade pictures on Facebook !!!  (no, I’m not going to point out who I am…)

It was even More entertaining when our 4th grade teacher actually started talking to us also. It was a crazy feeling of nostalgia; we started remembering all kinds of crazy things, like the time our teacher thought it would be a great  april fools prank to pretend she got fired. She had kids CRYING that day. *sighs*

For once, Facebook did something good; the ability to link up with not only college classmates, but people from high school, or even Elementary… it’s something amazing. To my classmates, I wish you nothing but the best, and to the Greatest 4th grade teacher ever; I wish you would get back to teaching- these kids are WAY too bad !!!
